When Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's Weekly in 1862, Santa was a small elflike figure who supported the Union. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.

  1. i havent been on for a while, christmas and american classic cars are my biggest hobbys, and the cars got hold of me for a while. i did hear it, but i had no idea what it was, it kinda soundedlike blowmolds being knocked into each other. i ran out immediatly and didnt see or hear anything like footsteps and noting was down so i assumed i was hearing things, it was the next day id realized what happened
  2. well i finally got hit. it seems "some little angel" got a paintball gun for christmas. they hit my santa blowmold once in 13 shots, wow how terrible of a shot! lol. the thing that made me mad was that my computer room is right inside and i heard it happen at 1201 last night so i rushed out the door i wasnt quite sure what id heard but i knew it was vandals. well i went out and didnt see or hear anything. but again, the thing that made me mad was that today i found out what the noise was and theres footprints telling me they were on foot, which means if only id walked out a bit farther probably would have seen someone. oh well i just had to vent. i just wiped it off, man they have a bad sot
