  • About my display
Currently only a static display.. I'm hoping for animation with the help of Planet Christmas!!
  1. This is my first year with an EDM-LCD FM transmitter and an LOR mini director and wondered where it was safe to place them. For reception and accessibility I would like to place them on a covered rear porch. It is covered with plastic panels but has an opening and is not insulated. Everything would be safe from rain or snow actually touching it but I was wondereing about condensation and cold temperatures. Anyone else use these in a similar environment? Thanks, Tricia
  2. One of my LED light strings has a wire loose within the male plug. I wondered if you could just replace the plug with one cut off another string or is there a way to open up the actual plug and try to repair it. They are 100 count C6 but I'm not very knowledgeable about the specifics of messing with the LEDs. Thanks for any help... I hate to lose a brand new string because of a wiggly wire. Tricia
  3. WOW!! Excellent looking arch! Hope you have a lot of candy because you're gonna attract every kid in town, and their parents too!!
  4. Thanks for the information...I got the effect I was looking for another way since it doesn't look like what I was looking for is possible. Thanks again.
  5. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to slow down the twinkle effect in LOR. When testing new control boxes you can slow everything down and I would like to do this in an animation I'm working on. After searching, I can only find info on changing intensity not speed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tricia
  6. Thank you for the tutorial! I liked the diagrams and written instruction, but really appreciated the real photos of each step. They made it much easier to understand and visualize. Looks good!!
  7. I love your Snowman and Bunny!! One day I hope to figure out this wiper motor thing everyone talks about, but for now only non-moving cutouts. Excellent job!!
  8. Just put my donation in.... Hopefully everyone can find a little extra in their pocket to support this wonderful cause!
  9. Hello Everyone- I joined PC this summer and would like to thank everyone for the many hours of entertainment and wonderful information that I have received. You've inspired me to buy an LOR controller and I had a very modest, yet animated Halloween display. Every one is sure that I'm going to blow something up before Christmas is over so I thought I would ask the experts.... The extension cords that I bought at Walmart/Lowes/etc. are indoor and say they are SPT2 so can you attach vampire plugs to them and if so, do you do it the same way you would with just straight SPT2 wire?? Thank yo
