  • The original Rudolph did not have a red nose. In that day and age, red noses were seen as an indicator of chronic alcoholism and Montgomery Ward didn’t want him to look like a drunkard. To complete the original picture, he was almost named Reginald or Rollo.

  • Santa Claus's sleigh is led by eight reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder (variously spelled Donder and Donner), and Blixem (variously spelled Blixen and Blitzen), with Rudolph being a 20th-century inclusion.

When Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's Weekly in 1862, Santa was a small elflike figure who supported the Union. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.

Stopped in to see what they had out for christmas and halloween more molds than i have seen in there in years a lot of the GF ghosts and snowmen i have seen seem to have a pearl type finish on them this year also the tombstone has what seems to be black metal flake made into the plastic this year Meijers and garden ridge both had the ghost and tombstone in stock

  4. you could try using serpentine belts for a car and just go to a junk yard and get a few pulleys off a few cars weld the bearings up on 2 of the pulleys and leave the other 2 to spin free of set the belts from each other.
  5. Caught my 12 week old daughter Lauren in the candy bucket and she found what she was looking for.
  6. Just a few pics of my 09 set up built the coffin to hide in :giggle: all the kids around my house are scared to open it they keep seeing fog and red lights comming out of it at night.

  8. there was a post on here at one time that showed how to hook one up to a com port and use vixen to run it but i havent seen it in awhile it wasnt a real hard mod to do but it was the 6 channel version.
  9. found them at a yard sale about a mile away from my house was just luck that i got them.
  10. yea they figured the sleigh was only worth $1 cause the deer is missing his antlers and stand and they wanted $10 for pooh but i talked them into taking 5 for him
  11. got the santa and sleigh for $1 and gave $5 for pooh and santa still moves and waves his arm now im going to have to sell my other sleigh and get more deer.

  13. no they are not the foam type they are actualy plastic with the carved eyes nose and mouth on mickey and only cut out eyes on snoopy they were 12.99ea.
